UK consumer testing hubs in Birmingham and Bury St Edmunds.

Two purpose-built fieldwork facilities, designed around the actual reality of running consumer testing properly. Central location testing, sensory studies, focus groups and qualitative work, all in rooms built for the job rather than borrowed from somewhere else.

Why our hubs exist

Designed for fieldwork.
Not borrowed from somewhere else.

Most consumer testing in the UK happens in venues that were built for something else. A function room. A market research suite leased for the day. A meeting space that has to be reconfigured every morning. The setup compromises stack up: prep facilities that are not really prep facilities, storage that does not properly hold temperature, rooms that smell of yesterday’s coffee, scheduling that bottlenecks at the door.

Noted Fieldwork took a different view.

Both our consumer testing hubs in Birmingham and Bury St Edmunds are purpose-built around the actual operational reality of running a central location test, a sensory study or a focus group properly. Food preparation and cooking facilities. Temperature-controlled storage. Hygiene and alcohol compliance built in. Rooms that flex from tightly scheduled
CLTs in the morning to moderated qualitative depths in the afternoon. Plus the recruitment, scheduling and operational discipline behind the scenes that keeps every session
running to time.

Between them, the two hubs cover the Midlands, East Anglia and the South East with strong local recruitment around each one. When projects need national coverage, we extend the reach through a vetted partner network managed to the
same standards.

Bury St Edmunds Testing Hub

East Anglia consumer testing facility.

East Anglia is one of the most underserved regions in UK consumer fieldwork, and a lot of brands quietly skip it as a result. Our Bury St Edmunds hub fixes that, with the same purpose-built setup as Birmingham and the same operational standards.

Address:
126 High Street, Kings Heath, Birmingham, B14 7LG

In [neighbourhood], a short walk from [station].

Location and access

Bury St Edmunds gives us a recruitment radius across Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, north Essex and parts of the South East, opening up consumer audiences that are frequently missing from UK research samples. The hub is well placed for projects that need a Midlands-and-East geographic read alongside Birmingham, and for brands who want to reach genuine East Anglian shoppers rather than relying on
London-overflow samples.

Two hubs.
Nationwide reach.

When a project needs Manchester, Glasgow, Cardiff or Bristol alongside the Midlands and East, we run it as one project rather than six. Our vetted partner network extends UK fieldwork coverage without dropping the standards we run inside our own hubs. Every partner facility is assessed against the same recruitment, preparation and delivery standards before we put a project through it. Single point of contact, single project lead, single set of standards.

FAQ

How many participants can you accommodate per day at each hub?

Can you handle hot food preparation and cooking on site?

Do your hubs hold alcohol licences for product testing?

Yes. Both hubs are set up for alcohol compliance testing, with the licences and protocols required to run beer, wine, spirits and RTD product evaluations under controlled conditions.

How quickly can you mobilise a central location test?

It depends on the project, but our typical mobilisation window for a CLT is a small number of weeks rather than months. We aim to respond to all enquiries within one working day with feasibility, timings and a clear route forward. For urgent projects, tell us upfront and we will tell you straight whether we can hit your deadline.

Can I visit a hub before booking a project?

Yes, and we recommend it. Fieldwork is one of those things that makes a lot more sense when you can see how it works. Visits cover the prep area, the testing rooms, the rotation setup and the parts most clients never get to see. Book a hub tour from the link below.

Where exactly are the hubs located?

Which methodologies can run at both hubs versus just one?

Both hubs are configured for the same core methodologies: CLTs, sensory studies, focus groups and qualitative depths. Capability is mirrored deliberately, so a project can run in either location, or split across both for geographic balance, without compromise.

Do you handle recruitment for the hubs as well as venue space?

Yes. Recruitment is one of the most important parts of what we do. Both hubs are supported by Noted’s 25,000-strong UK community plus bespoke recruitment for hard-to-reach audiences, screened on behaviour and usage rather than just demographics.
